A little update

Hello Lovelies
This is a quick update!
I told myself I wasn't going to publish another post until I finish one of the many projects I've told you about but it's been so long since the last one and I've been missing you... sigh.

Well I have been busy...honestly!
I have finished and posted two little pouch bags and one largish mandala doily thingy
- all gifts and I didn't take photos as I was racing to get them wrapped and posted.
I'm sure you know how it is...

I have achieved loads more little stitches on the vintage hexies quilt but have slowed down as it is too warm to have on my lap.

I haven't got as far as I'd hoped with my first skein of the green lace yarn.
I took both photos with my tablet... you wouldn't believe the shawly thing below is actual a beautiful green!

I'll reveal more later :-)

I have been working hard in the garden and in our village churchyard. I must remember to take a photo of the gorgeous wild flower bank that Lovely Husband and i have been tending - it's glorious.

Take care Lovelies, thank you for visiting me, it's been lovely to see you.

  3. Hi Tracey! It looks like you've been very busy. Sometimes I have to rush to photograph gifts too, it always seems to be a scramble at the end. :)

    1. Thanks Jennifer :-) Yes the pouches had to go to New Zealand so I was very relieved to get them in the post on time...sometimes I forget to add that into the equation!

  4. I am sure that the recipients of your gifts will love them! Your shawl looks lovely, so light and lacy, I understand what you mean about your blanket being too hot to work with, it is alright when they are small, but when you have a great big blanket on your lap in this weather it really is too much isn't it! I hope that you are having fun in your busyness and enjoying yourself too. xx

    1. Hi Amy, thank you :-) The shawl is similar to the Wave shawl I made for my friend back in March but with a more gradual increase and without the garter stitch. Yes it is wonderful to be well enough to be busy...but not overly busy :-)

  6. I would love to see the wild flower bank. I have been walking around with a little book trying to work out their names! It's such a tiring time of year but yet working outside feels good at the end of the day doesn't it ? X

    1. I'll try and remember to take photos later today of the wild flowers. I got my little books out this year too but not for this particular flower bank.
Yeah, you go to bed exhausted but happy.
