Yarn stash...

Hello Lovelies

A lady from our village, who I am only just starting to get to know, arrived around lunchtime today with two large carrier bags full off yarn from her stash!
I have to show you....

Tumbled on to the floor...

I love the yellow in the middle...

I have quite a stash of my own but I am always pleased to add to it!
There are yarns in this new pile that I wouldn't necessarily buy myself and it's got my brain whirring with ideas.... you can probably hear it!

I have no time for drawing at the moment...I don't even want to draw.... I just want to revel in these glorious colours and to thank Deci very, very much for her generosity.

...and my Constant Companion....

...yes, just as we expected. Bless his heart!

  1. Hi Tracey, thanks for confirming your blog link for me, I should have more faith as I had found the correct blog all on my own lol
My gosh that is a lot of (delicious, yummy) yarn, I'm so envious. It's not surprising your mind is whirring with ideas, I know mine would be too. It's great to know that this lovely yarn will not be hidden away but made into something useful and loved

    1. Yes you did... well done :-) I'm a bit the same though with techie things...totally distrust my own ability. Thanks for your comment. I've left the yarn scattered over the sitting room floor so that I can admire it....if I put it away I will only see the top layer! I'll have to tidy it away tomorrow though I guess :-( what a shame! No, no, no, I shall play with it (sort) into groups of varying yarn weights and then consider another blanket! Lol

    1. Yes Kate, indeed! I made a couple of coasters today to stop me becoming overwhelmed by the possibilities and also to stop me from being too precious with the stash.
      Thanks for your comment. :-)

Hmm....yes...I am planning and scheming. I haven't made a mandela before but I'm looking forward to my first attempt.

  7. Hi Sue, thanks :-) ...and yes it is a treat, I'm feeling quite spoilt. My first ever mandela is made and most definitely needs blocking. It's not brilliant but ok as a first attempt.
    Have a lovely weekend,
